SUGOI & POLARTEC TO LAUNCH COLLECTION OF WINTER TRAINING APPAREL
Introducing the world’s first Polartec Neoshell cycling jacket

Burnaby, BC, January 23 – Top Canadian bike & run apparel brand SUGOI is charging new terrain by partnering with performance fabric giant Polartec® on a collection of technical, extreme weather, winter training products - including the world’s first Polartec® Neoshell® cycling jacket. The launch of SUGOI’s Polartec Neoshell jacket makes it the most breathable waterproof cycling jacket on the market.
The partnership with Polartec, and introduction of the RSE Neoshell cycling jacket, is a natural evolution for SUGOI – renowned for building premium performance cycling apparel. This allows riders, who train year-round, to benefit from the combined expertise of a top cycling apparel brand and the world’s leader in advanced performance textiles.

“Together with Polartec, we aimed to design the world’s most breathable, waterproof cycling jacket - geared specifically towards elite level riders” says Rob Gill, SUGOI Senior Technical Designer. “The Neoshell fabric in our new RSE jacket makes a tangible & noticeable difference in your overall comfort. I have logged about 1000 kilometers in the jacket this winter, in some of the wettest weather imaginable, and it well exceeded my performance expectations.”

In addition to the Neoshell jacket, SUGOI is also introducing a line of Polartec Power Shield and Polartec Power Stretch products for both run & cycling devotees . Based on the belief that there is no such thing as off season, SUGOI aims to offer athletes who train just as hard in the winter as they do in the summer, a superior line of products that withstand the harshest weather conditions.

"We are excited to not only have SUGOI adopting one of our latest award-winning technologies, Polartec NeoShell, but also some of our most dependable and versatile fabrics like Polartec Power Shield and Polartec Power Stretch," adds Allon Cohne, Polartec Global Marketing Director. " SUGOI is stepping up the game with these top of the line fabrics. I think it boasts well for the cycling industry as whole as fabric innovation becomes a competitive edge.”
To ensure the apparel exceeded performance athlete expectations, all of SUGOI’s Polartec products were rigorously tested over months, by endurance athletes, in British Columbia’s variable climates & inclement conditions.

“This is our backyard” says Gill. “A product testing ground where the rain shows no mercy and the wind whips off the pacific. It is the testing ground that gives life and purpose to our products. We strategically chose Polartec as a technical partner because they offer the most versatile & reliable fabrics on the planet.”
