Whether you have multiple sclerosis (MS), touched by someone who lives with MS, or whether you’re a dedicated cyclist looking for a bit of recreation, pedaling in the RONA MS Bike Tours means you will be a part of something extraordinary!
The RONA MS Bike Tour is a pledge-based fundraising event that provides Canadians with the opportunity to ride through scenic and often spectacular parts of the country. This year, over 12,000 cyclists are expected to participate in the 22 one- and two-day tours taking place nationwide between June and September. All you need is a bike and the passion to end MS.
Every year, friends, family and co-workers join together to take the TeamMS challenge and experience the camaraderie and excitement while supporting the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
One notable team that is involved in the RONA MS Bike Tour is made up of 48 friends that call themselves the CC Riders (Creaser’s Crew). Last July, this rookie team raised over $110,000 – the most ever raised by a single team in the 18-year history of the event. Inspired by their friend Larry Creaser, who suffers from MS, the team’s 2008 goal is to double last year’s amount. The CC Riders have raised over $178,000 already.
“Partners like SUGOI are critical to our mission to end MS. Their support demonstrates their commitment to the cause and their dedication to the RONA MS Bike Tour team members across Canada," says Randy Sageman, Corporate Relations Manager, MS Society of Canada.
SUGOI is a proud national sponsor for the RONA MS Bike Tour, and makes custom apparel for cyclists. If you have a “TeamMS” team that is looking for a custom jersey, or any other custom apparel, SUGOI will rebate 10% to the MS Society from any order that includes the “TeamMS” logo. Visit the SUGOI custom site for more information.
The mission of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada is: To be a leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life. The MS Society provides hope for the future through the support of MS research into the cause, treatment and cure of the disease, and hope for today through their many services that assist people with MS and their families.
