Top American Triathlete Joins 2016 Pro Slate
We are happy to be continuing our partnership with American triathlete Liz Lyles and official member of our 2016 global Pro Athlete roster. Liz joined SUGOI after a successful 2014, including two sub-9 performances, a win at IRONMAN Western Australia, and second place at the IRONMAN European Championship in Frankfurt. Lyles placed seventh at the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, gaining honors as the top American female. She completed 2014 ranking tenth in the world.
A World Class Triathlete From Our Own Backyard
SUGOi is proud to be welcoming 2x Canadian Olympian Brent McMahon from our own backyard to our 2016 global roster of Pro Athletes. Brent is not only an Olympian but also a World Cup Champion, Xterra Champion, IRONMAN 70.3, and IRONMAN Champion and course record holder.
We couldn't be happier to welcome Michelle Vesterby to our 2016 slate of Pro Athletes!
A word that can be used to describe Michelle? Sunny. Her positive-thinking, 'keep smiling' philosophy, and unbeatable determination have netted great results for her in a career that's just getting started. Since turning pro in 2012, Michelle has raced in 24 major triathlons, reaching top 5 in 19 of them. After her memorable 4th place finish at the 2015 IRONMAN World Champion in Kona, Michelle has her sights set reaching that podium in 2016.

This past 4 day weekend, the Mavericks spent time in Miami for a combination race weekend at Ironman 70.3 Miami and a film shoot with Jaybird Sport. The film shoot went wonderfully, capturing lots of pre-race content at Key Biscayne, Virginia Key, Downtown Miami, Jungle Island and South Beach as well as gathering great race day footage of Maverick pro athletes that were competing. The film crew from Jaybird Sport and Goldstein Productions did an amazing job, and we look forward to seeing the finished product in November.
As the days get shorter in much of the top side of the globe, even committed commuters have questions to consider. How comfortable am I riding in traffic in darkness? Do I have the right gear for wet days? Am I ready for cold and wet riding? Taking your bike out on a clear, moonlit night can be exhilarating - and definitely a more inspiring way of staying healthy than parking yourself on a trainer all winter - but it still helps to be prepared, so here are our top safety tips for people considering a night bike commute.

Zap Run Jacket selected for 2016 Buyer's Guide and more
Our friends at Outside Magazine have been pouring on so much love lately, it's (almost) embarassing. But the latest announcement from the award-winning adventure guide has us so excited, we had to share: Outside's 2016 Winter's Buyer's Guide will feature the Zap Run Jacket. In this annual guide to the very best in winter gear, Outside says that "Zap has the brightest reflectivity" of all the running jackets featured. They go on to say it's “a stout windshell absolutely loaded with features", and call out its velcro wrist cuffs, zippered waist pockets and hem draw cord.
SUGOI Athletes discuss taking on their biggest race of the year
Each year thousands of triathletes around the world mark one special date on their calendar above all others: KONA.
The one they are gunning for all year. For some their ticket comes early in the season and with it the ability to relax during those mid summer races. For others it might be their nervous final race of the season that earns them the right to compete on triathlon's biggest stage.
